Founded in 1841, the University of Huddersfield has grown to become Times Higher Education University of the Year (2013). It is regarded by QS Stars University Ratings as a 5 star university for teaching excellence, internationalisation, student facilities and employability. As well as this, Huddersfield was voted in the International Student Barometer as the best place to live in the UK for an international student.

The University of Huddersfield has many academic specialisms, with all undergraduate courses having the opportunity to undertake professional work experience during their studies. Subsequently, the University of Huddersfield is in the Top 10 in England for paid work placements – and the University works with some of the biggest and best companies in the UK and overseas such as Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, Panasonic, Red Bull F1, Unilever, BBC and DHL. As a result, 94.9% of students go on to work and/or further study within six months of graduating.
